Ways To Learn With Alphabet Touch Book
Kiddivity's Alphabet Touch Book is a combination of flash cards embedded with sensory paths, together with shadow matching activities for Kiddies to learn everything about ABCs! There are various ways we can use at different learning stages:
𝟵 Months 𝘁𝗼 𝟮 Years Old
We can focus on the basic activities at the beginning and safe keep the smaller matching pieces in the binder pouch at the back of the folder. Go through the Touch Cards with Kiddies in sequence and read out the letters / sing the Alphabet Song. It helps to build up Recognition Skill.
Point out to the illustrations in each card and name the object, animals & edibles. We can also introduce Phonics Reading at the same time too! Eg. Letter F, F.. F.. F.. Flower!
Explore with the sensory dots on the letters by guiding their little finger to trace along and also encourage them to pronounce the letters (Sensory & Verbal Skills).
2 To 3 Years Old
Here we can have lots of fun with the shadow matching activity! Let Kiddies build their Visual, Cognitive & Fine Motor Skills by using their little eyes to pick out the outline of the shadow, little brain to identify the correct object and little fingers to grip and stick the matching pieces to the right spot.
Play fun mini games with Kiddies like:
• Guessing The Shadows
• Matching To The Correct Letter (From a mixture of some matching pieces
• Scavenger Hunt (Spotting similar objects in their surrounding)

• Scavenger Hunt (Spotting similar objects in their surrounding)
Another visual activity to work on will be the differentiation of the Capital and Small letters.
3 To 4 Years Old
At this stage, we can do some Pre-writing preparation. Same method, guide their fingers along each letter as how we will write them and emphasize on the sequence of direction. Eg. Capital Letter F will be Down, Cross and Cross. Small Letter F will be Around Down and Across.
We can do this practice repeatedly to let them get familiarise with the directions and it will be useful to apply these when they are starting to trace and write Alphabet.
When Kiddies can recognise all letters, let them pick out the letters and spell the names of the objects on the matching pieces. From this, we can progressively build up their Memory & Spelling Skills.
We hope you and your Kiddies have fun with the above activities!
